As it cools, it firms up and takes on the shape of the container.
Marinate for at least 30 minutes at room temperature, or up to 1 hour, stirring halfway through.
Place battered tofu in oil and fry until golden brown, approximately 6 to 7 minutes, turning every 2 minutes or so.

Add the tofu to the marinade and stir to coat.
While the tofu is marinating, set up the breading station: In a shallow bowl, mix together the flour and cornstarch.
Gather the buttermilk mixture and mix them in a large bowl.
To coat the tofu, combine it with cornstarch in a medium mixing bowl.
Depending on the thickness / brand of tofu you’re using, you may want to flip and cook them another.
Place on a baking sheet and bake for about 20 minutes, flipping once halfway through.
